What we collect

Nothing. Concerto Shed has no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party trackers. The app does not transmit any data about you, your usage, or your audio files to us or to anyone else.

Your files stay on your device

Audio files you import, the stems Concerto Shed generates from them, your loops, your patterns, and your settings are all stored locally on your Mac. They are never uploaded anywhere.

When the app makes network requests

Concerto Shed only contacts the network in two narrow cases, and only after you take an action:

• Stem separation model download. The first time you use stem separation, the app downloads the pretrained htdemucs model from our content delivery network. Standard HTTPS request and response logs (timestamp, IP address, user-agent) may be retained by the CDN provider for operational and abuse-prevention purposes, but we do not associate them with any user identity.
• Update checks (direct distribution only). If you installed Concerto Shed directly from shed.concerto.studio, the app uses Sparkle to periodically fetch a small XML appcast describing the latest release. The Mac App Store build does not include Sparkle and never makes these requests; updates there are delivered by Apple.

Third-party services

Concerto Shed does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. All audio processing — including stem separation — runs on your device using Apple's MLX framework.

Children

Concerto Shed does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes — for example, if Concerto Shed ever did begin collecting any kind of data — would be highlighted in the app's release notes.
